Tangle Egret
Pining for warmth!
It is going to be April in two days. Normally by now the early snow drops have been blooming for a few weeks and the crocuses have started blooming; the daffodils have bulbs and are almost ready to burst open. Today it is gloomy, gray, and 49 degrees Fahrenheit, which feels warm in comparison. Well, almost warm and would actually feel warm if the sun was shining. For weeks quite a few residence of Michigan, including me, have been walking around in light jackets, heavier cardigans, and sometimes no jackets at all in temperatures ranging in the 30’s. I finally understand why people who live in the northern most states and Canada walk around without a coat on in what I use to think was cold weather! Namaste!
To continue to cheer myself up and to continue to resist seasonal affective disorder (SAD), I tangled a photo of an egret I took in Florida in the spring of 2008. It reminds me of warmth, sunshine, salty air, tropical bird calls, and the earthy smell that comes from a tropical forest.
